Gucci

Gucci is perhaps the most frequently dropped fashion name in popular culture. In a 2003 study, it was revealed that Gucci was mentioned in 47 different songs that featured in the Billboard top 20 that year. Why? Because the name Gucci is quick to impress. It is the name to drop to convey luxury status. In its one hundred year plus history many fashion trends have come and gone, as have many fashion labels, but Gucci has so successfully adapted and evolved with the times that has become so much more than a fashion house, it has become an institution.

Alfred Sung

Alfred Sung is a world renowned designer who is known for his elegant bridal dresses and sensational perfume range. The Hong Kong-born Canadian businessman is quiet, shy and lives a very private life. As a young man, he was an aspiring artist, but moved to Paris to study couture then later to New York, attending the Parson's School of Design for a year. His working career began in Seventh Avenue in New York's Garment District. In 1927 Sung made the move to Toronto, Canada, where he started out as a junior designer on Spadina Avenue for Lidzon Ltd.
