Guerlain

The Guerlain perfume house is as old as the hills. It is one of the oldest perfume houses and was founded in 1828 by Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. The house had its beginnings in a small perfume store on rue de Rivoli, Paris. Guerlain immediately gained popularity with the 'who's who' of high class society. He made custom perfumes and built a loyal customer base.

Fragrance Review: L'Artisan Safran Troublant (2002)

Summary: One of the three Epices de Passion trio, Safran troublant was created by Olivia Giacobetti and originally introduced in 2002. L'Artisan has now wisely released all three scents for individual sale in the regular 50ml and 100ml sizes (the other two fragrances are Piment Brulant and Poivre Piquant). Safran Troublant is a simple blend of saffron, sandalwood, rose and vanilla.

Fragrance Review: Art of Perfumery, #5 (2006)

Summary: One of 7 fragrances from the new Art of Perfumery line, #5 is a sweet oriental described as a fresh update on a classic theme.Pros: Fantastic longevity; only lightly floral without being too "pretty" or "fussy"; is not another typical replica of Shalimar. Cons: Might be a little on the sweet side for some, though thankfully not due to an overdose of vanilla.Note
