Cacharel

Cacharel was founded in 1962 by Jean Bousquet in La Marais, Paris. Bousquet was born in 1932 to a father who was a sewing machine salesman. At the age of 15 he became an apprentice to a tailor. In 1958 he opened his own shop which tailored men's shirts, but by 1962, he had decided to specialize in women's fashion. Cacharel is the namesake of a bird mostly found in the south of France.

Fragrance Advice: Springy citrus?

Dear Marlen,I was wondering if you have any ideas here.  I am looking for something cirtusy and fresh, but not to sweet.  (Sweet scents tend to turn awfully sweet on me...like honey or something!  I am not really into musk-y end notes.  Interestingly enough, during thefall and winter months the light musks turn into super musty on me!  Sounds pretty crazy....I have D&G

 Intriguant Patchouli (Intriguing Patchouli) is my favorite scent so far amongst the offerings of Parfumerie Générale, a niche perfume house from France founded by perfumer-composer Pierre Guillaume. PG are the initials both for the perfumery and the perfumer's name.The perfume created in 2005 contains top notes of mandarin, lemon, and Persian apple.

  Bobbi Brown launched her fourth perfume this month. It is called Bath as it is redolent of what is described as a "fresh-out-of-the-shower" scent. Interestingly enough, Bobbi Brown wanted to have a perfume that would smell of cleanliness but without containing any musk in it. She offers to make the distinction between smell lovers and perfume lovers...
