Perfume Lessons in Grasse

This morning I've had an interesting read. A group of alumni of Penn State are in southern France accompanied by Tina Hay, editor of the Penn Stater magazine who chronicles their experiences.
Rose petals (Grasse - France)They visited Grasse, a perfume center several centuries ago. The story relates about the solution Catherine de Medici had for a town which got pretty stinky because of the leather-tanning activities that were taking place there in the Middle Ages.
