Fragrance Review: Madini, Alma de Alma

Summary: One of many fragrance oils from Madini, a 400 year old "Islamic Perfumery" located in Tangiers, Morocco (but available online). Alma de Alma is a sweet, ambery, unisex oriental aroma.Pros: The musk note here is an animalic musk, a little dirty and a main component of the scent; excellent longevity.Cons: As it is a fragrance oil, the scent is slightly richer and sweeter than the typical eau de toilette or eau de parfum (is that really a bad thing?); that musk note might be a little too edgy for some.Reminds me of: Christian Dior Dune; Must de Cartier pour Femme; Serge Lutens Chergui; Paco Rabanne La Nuit; is much less complex than these other scents and without any of the floral or green notes.Notes: "A graceful and romantic confection of musk, ambre and citron."
